In the year 1700, M. Herbin created The "Jewel of Inks" in his little shop on the Rue des Fosses Saint-Germain in Paris. The J. Herbin brand is therefore the oldest name in fine pen inks in the world. J. Herbin inks are pH Neutral and are comprised of All Natural dyes in their fountain pen inks. This natural composition and delicate balance of ingredients is the essence of any fine ink.
"Ambre de Birmanie" is inspired by the bright hue of amber, a fossilized tree resin. It is often added onto a metal chain or skillfully crafted as a pendant and worn as jewelry. Amber can also serve as a tool for paleontology as it has been known to preserve organisms from millions of years ago. The fascinating and beautiful aspects of this natural phenomenon are evident in the orange-yellow shade of this ink.
The J. Herbin ink cartridges are made for fountain pens and rollerballs. These standard short, "Snap in" universal cartridges fit most fountain pens or rollerballs. (Does not fit Sheaffer, Parker, Lamy, A.T. Cross, Pilot, Namiki, Sailor, Platinum or Aurora). Six cartridges are neatly and securely packed in cylindrical metal tins.
