The Platinum Preppy Wa Limited Edition is true to its heritage with six designs inspired by traditional Japanese patterns.  This beautiful starter fountain pen is the perfect gift and a phenomenal value.  The Asa-noha fountain pen features gold geometric designs on a translucent red body, a clear cap, trim, and grip section.The Preppy accepts Platinum cartridges or a Platinum converter to fill with bottled ink. It comes with one blue-black ink cartridge. The Platinum converter is sold separately.

Asa-no-ha (hemp leaf): Traditionally, a triangle has been regarded as a symbol that denotes protection against evil spirits; therefore, the pattern with aggregated triangles that form a hexagonal shape is believed to have a stronger power to ward off evil. Also, hemp leaf that is durable and grows quickly symbolizes the hope for children to grow healthy and strong.
