In 2026, Leonardo introduced four new Italian-made materials for their signature Momento Zero pen collection. Taking inspiration from nature’s splendor, these pens have a charm and beauty reminiscent of scenic, Italian countrysides, tranquil fishing villages, unspoiled landscapes, and the explosive energy of Mount Vesuvius.
Although Leonardo designed the Momento Zero in 2017, the pen’s shape follows the classic lines of 1930’s Italian fountain pens with three rings on the cap, a “ruzzolina” wheel pocket clip, and conical finial points.
Momento Zero Lava e Cenere channels the elemental power of the Gulf of Naples and its volcanic origins. Inspired by Mount Vesuvius, this pen is defined by contrast fiery lava tones recalling glowing sunsets and ancient Pompeian frescoes, paired with deep ash hues reminiscent of volcanic stone and shadowed slopes.
Crafted from richly layered Italian resin, the Momento Zero Lava e Cenere is offered with silver or gold trim, enhancing the dramatic interplay between molten color and volcanic ash.
