Measuring nearly six inches long when capped, the Custom 823 is long in length, but remarkably well-balanced, making the fountain pen comfortable to use either posted or unposted.
Combining a unique demonstrator style with a fun-to-use, vacuum filling system, the Custom 823 contains the largest ink reservoir from Pilot which holds 1.5ml of ink. It is easy to fill with ink by unscrewing the plunger knob at the end of the barrel and pulling back. Immerse the 14-karat gold nib and grip in the bottled ink then push the plunger down. This will create a vacuum drawing the ink into the pen. The Custom 823 fountain pen should only be used with bottled ink. It is not compatible with cartridges
