Following the success of earlier releases, Pelikan presents the third chapter of its Art Collection: the Souverän M600 Georg Tippel Special Edition. This edition reinterprets “Grundfarben,” the iconic 1899 poster by Georg Tippel, transforming a historic work of advertising into a contemporary writing instrument.
At the heart of Tippel’s artwork is the pelican as a nurturing parent—an enduring symbol of devotion, responsibility, and trust that continues to define Pelikan’s identity. This legacy is brought to life through an abstract reinterpretation of the poster’s flowing cloud formations, now rendered as a rhythmic pattern across the barrel. The design interacts with light to create depth and a subtle shimmer, framed by warm, semi-transparent brown resin that balances heritage with modern refinement.
Crafted using Pelikan’s Aurora process, the barrel features finely engraved guilloché beneath layers of lacquer, producing a luminous, textured surface. The pen is equipped with a piston-filling system, a handcrafted two-tone 14kt gold nib, available in Extra Fine, Fine, Medium, and Broad sizes and 24kt gold-plated trims with Pelikan’s signature clip.
Presented in a book-style package with a miniature reproduction of the original artwork, the Souverän M600 Georg Tippel Special Edition is both a refined writing instrument and a tribute to Pelikan’s artistic heritage.
