While the present-day distribution of this species is limited to a small area of California, USA; it used to be more spread and covered larger territories. The giant sequoia is listed as an endangered species by the IUCN, with fewer than 80,000 trees remaining. The Monteverde USA® Giant Sequoia is a substantial in size writing instrument that is inspired by the eternal beauty of these magnificent trees. The design combines high-quality resin in green-striped shades with a beautiful solid walnut ring with silver accents that adorns the cap. The barrel is tastefully engraved with the Monteverde USA® and Trees of the World logos, complementing the overall look. The Giant Sequoia is available in fountain pen and ballpoint modes. The fountain pen is equipped with a stainless steel JoWo #6 nib engraved with the Monteverde USA® logo and fills via a standard cartridge or converter (included). The nib is available in Extra Fine, Fine, Medium, Broad, 1.1mm Stub, and Omniflex point sizes. The twist-action ballpoint pen accepts standard Monteverde USA® refills P1 and P4 (Parker® style). Each Monteverde USA® pen features a lifetime warranty and is sold in a luxurious gift box.
