For this design, named "Canal of Saint Peter," Montegrappa crafted a proprietary blend of swirling resin in brown, black, white, ochre, and gray tones. These colors represent the historic architecture of the buildings along the canal.
The precision lathing of every component showcases the remarkable skill and discipline of Montegrappa's experienced artisans. To complement the exquisite complexity of the proprietary "Montegrappite" resin, Montegrappa trimmed the wheel pocket clip, cap ring, and barrel threads in gold plating. Unscrewing the cap 1.25 rotations reveals a concave, tapered grip section that slightly flares at the end. A tried-and-true, stainless steel #6 size nib greets the writer with matching gold plating. The Venetia fountain pen fills using the included converter or international ink cartridges.
Each pen is presented in a gorgeous, green Montegrappa gift box with a cream fabric interior.
