The newest Visconti Homo Sapiens is now available in all black! As before the pen is handmade from basaltic lava from Mt Etna to produce a unique writing instrument with incredible properties.

Visconti Homo Sapiens  Oversized Fountain Pen in Dark Age Special Features:

  • Flame-proof : heat resistance to over 100 degrees C
  • Hygroscopic : absorbs hand sweat during use

The Homo Sapiens Dark Age collection uses the Visconti Dreamtouch 18kt ruthenium plated nib. The maxi (oversized) uses a "power-filler," vacuum ink system. And the midi (medium) sized fountain pen use a piston-filling system actuated by rotating the blind cap.
