Vanitas is an art movement from the 16th and 17th centuries that symbolizes life's transience, the futility of pleasure, and the certainty of death. It often features items like roses, skulls, hourglasses, and reflecting spheres. Our design incorporates these symbols, with the phrase "Memento Mori" ("remember you are mortal") on a gift box for calligraphy supplies. It also includes two Latin phrases:
"Disce quasi semper victurus vive quasi cras moriturus" ("Learn as if you will live forever; Live as if you were to die tomorrow"). "Mundus vult decipi, ergo decipiatur" ("Humanity wants to be deceived, so it is deceived").
