Product Description

Three stones in strong, vivid tones adorn these models in the PIUMA collection. Handmade by a resin that reproduces the effect of stone, these three PIUMA colors are inspired by Agate, Carnelian and Amethyst and their symbolism.

Carnelian is a well-known variety of chalcedony belonging to the quartz family, whose term derives from the Latin “carnis”, meaning “meat”, a stone so called because of its coloring.

The Romans used carnelian to make wax seal stamps in mail or other important documents, as hot wax does not stick to carnelian.
