Celebrate two decades of bespoke color artistry with the Sailor's Voyage 20th Anniversary Milestone Bottled Ink Set. In 2005, Sailor revolutionized fountain pen culture with its legendary Ink Blend on site events. Master blender Mr. Ishimaru famously captivated stationery enthusiasts by crafting custom fountain pen inks in a bartender uniform with a cocktail shaker. Over the past twenty years, this traveling atelier expanded to include master blenders Mr. Takahashi in 2019, followed by Ms. Tetsusashi and Ms. Iwasaki in 2025. This special milestone collection unites the distinct vision and craft of all four master blenders into an extraordinary series.
Each water-based dye ink in this collection captures an emotional chapter along the voyage. Mr. Ishimaru crafts Kanpai ("Cheers"), a deep celebratory red warmed with playful hints of pink. Mr. Takahashi offers Shukkou ("Departure"), capturing the vivid shift from crystal-clear shallow green waters in the morning sunlight to the calm depths of the open sea. Ms. Tetsusashi introduces Akatsuki ("Dawn"), depicting early morning transition with a vibrant blue that shifts to reddish-purple as it dries, finished with a subtle crimson sheen. Completing the voyage, Ms. Iwasaki presents Toku no Umi ("Distant Sea"), a serene oceanic blue kissed by a delicate undercurrent of pink.
From the calligraphy to the background art, every label on the 20ml bottles is hand-rendered by the respective master blender. The set comes housed in exclusive blue presentation packaging adorned with a gold emblem that cleverly combines an ink bottle and a ship. A commemorative keepsake leaflet is included, detailing the story behind each custom blend. Due to the specialized nature of these custom master formulations, this set is produced in strictly limited quantities.
