Voyager 1 and 2 currently float outside of the solar system, carrying with them a 12-inch gold-plated, copper record. If the records are ever found by intelligent alien life, they can follow the instructions on the cover to play the record (unless it fell into a literal black hole). Those instructional diagrams are faithfully reproduced on the acid-etched brass barrel of the Retro 51 Tornado Rollerball Pen. Stonewatched brass accents complete the antique-look of this celestial time capsule. To top off this space-faring design, Retro 51 placed a golden record illustration on a shiny brass top disc.
Turn the knurled twist top to deploy the smooth-writing, liquid rollerball ink that flows like a broad-tipped fountain pen. If you prefer a longer-lasting ballpoint refill, the Tornado rollerball also accepts the popular Parker-style type ballpoint cartridge (a.k.a. EasyFlow 9000, sold separately).
Each piece of Voyager Golden Record is packaged in a commemorative tube written with the record's greetings in 55 languages. The limited edition number (of 500 total pieces) is engraved on the top ring.
