Thomas O’Brien founded Venlo in 2000 because he too cherished his watch collection and wanted to both protect and showcase his timepieces in an equally distinctive fashion.  He chose Florence, Italy, home of the world’s finest leather craftsmen for the inspiration and source of his original watch case collection.  It would prove to be a good choice, as even today, the timeless designs of the original Italian Leather Collection are a mainstay of the Venlo collection.

Since the beginnings in Florence, four fundamentals have guided product creation at the Venlo Company - sophisticated styling, ultimate functionality, superb craftsmanship and unmatched quality.

Over the years the Venlo Company’s product offering has expanded to include an extensive line of pen cases, valets and cufflink cases.  Luxurious wooden cases were added to compliment the original leather line and always the four fundamentals of product creation guided the way.
