Dip the whole nib into a bottle of ink and twist the knob at the end of the barrel, which will draw ink up and into the pen. As a proper piston pen, it doesn't use cartridges or a drop-in converter and must be filled with bottled ink. Before the very first fill, flush the pen with water and a trace of dish soap to clear any factory oils. After that, you're good to go.
Can I swap or upgrade the nib on the M200 later? +
Yes, because the whole nib unscrews from the section as a single unit. Many owners start with the steel nib and then drop in a 14K gold M400 nib down the line for a softer feel.
