Retro 51 x Goldspot Exclusive NYC Skyline Ltd Ed Tornado Pen

Folks here in New Jersey say that the state is divided into two halves - North and South Jersey. How do you know which part of the state you are currently in? Go ask someone how long it takes to get to "The City." For South Jersey folks, they will assume that you mean Philadelphia. For North Jersey, it's "New York City." For everyone that works at Goldspot Pens here in Aberdeen, NJ, THE City is "NYC," fuggetabowtit.

Inspired by the impressive New York City skyline that is visible from shore towns that are minutes away from our office, we pay homage to the Big Apple with the NYC Skyline. The design was a collaboration between Goldspot Pens and Texas-based Retro 1951. Besides making awesomely addicting designs for their Tornado rollerball pens, the folks at Retro 51 are amazing to work with and have a stellar design staff that know their stuff.

Prominent New York City landmarks are brilliantly illustrated around the barrel of the pen. The towering silhouettes of the Empire State Building, Chrysler Building, and the Freedom Tower are set against a navy blue sky. When the lights go out, the Statue of Liberty and the starry night skyline illuminate with a vibrant glow.

The pen’s design is completed with chrome appointments, clip, and knurled twist-top. A subway token-style disc is set at the top of the pen, opposite the writing end. The edition number is engraved on the band above the clip. In the photos, we show here the edition number would replace the word PROOF. This edition is limited to 333 pieces worldwide. Each pen is packaged in a matching graphic tube, similar to other special edition Retro 51 pens.
