The Plum finish is created through a meticulous resin-casting process, resulting in slight variations in color and pattern that ensure no two pens are exactly alike. Special pattern requests cannot be accommodated due to this unique production process.

The cap features an inner sealing mechanism that prevents ink from drying out between uses. Like all TWSBI ECO pens, the Plum with Onyx model is fully disassemblable for traditional fountain pen maintenance. A wrench and silicone grease are included for long-term care, though these accessories are not required for immediate use. Handle the nib and feed with care, as the feed is delicate.
