Inspired by the colorful, peacock-like hues of the Mantis Shrimp exoskeleton, this bold, limited edition Nahvalur Nautilus fountain pen packs quite the punch.

According to the Guinness Book of World Records, the Mantis Shrimp holds the title for the most powerful punch in the animal kingdom. Its lethal, club-like front legs can accelerate to the speed of a .22 caliber bullet, cracking the shells of other mollusks, crabs, and the like.

While you can't use the Nahvalur Nautilus Mantis Shrimp as a lobster cracker, this fountain pen is mighty and capable of many great things. Once you put the nib to paper, you can "knock out" to-do lists, break through to the subconscious, and lose yourself in the writing flow.

The generously sized Nahavalur Nautilus has a rounded, cylindrical profile with ample size and feel in hand. Three porthole-like ink windows allow you to see the waves of ink rolling inside the piston-filled barrel. Cast by Starry Night Resins, this custom, hand-made resin contains swirls of blue, purple, green, copper, and pearl white.

The Nautilus has a decorative cap band with a wave motif and the brand mark impressed on the metal surface. The Nautilus is outfitted with a stainless steel, number 6 size nib made in-house by Narwhal. All metal components (except for the piston mechanism) are PVD-finished in bright green.

Writers enjoy Narwhal's nibs for their smoothness and consistency. The nib is interchangeable and can be removed by unscrewing the nib housing from the section or pulling the nib and feed straight out.
