Laban Golden Age Urushi Fountain Pen

Building upon over 40 years of crafting luxury pens, Laban presents a flagship fountain pen like no other in their collection. The "Golden Age" represents a return to the time-honored traditions of urushi lacquerware and the simple pleasure of writing by hand.  

Laban crafted the base of the pen using ebonite—a material often found in vintage writing instruments of the early 20th Century—and comissioned Mr. Liang, the chief Urushi artist from the 漆道仿 workshop, to meticulously lacquer, polish, and embellish the pen with layers of urushi and gold foil. The intricate process resulted in a pen that has a serene, silent elegance, exuding a gentle and subtle glow at every angle. A stunning, bi-color 18kt gold nib complements the warmth and precious nature of this pen's design.

The Laban "Golden Age" fountain pen is meant to be contemplated and to serve as a conduit for your deepest contemplations. It is served in a piano black-lacquered hinged gift box with a bookmark and an international 3-year warranty.
