The blue/brown marbling is achieved with cellulose-acetate, similar to the material that is used on the stripes of the classic Pelikan Souveran designs. The dark blue cap and blind cap consist of high-quality resin. The fountain pen is fitted with a sumptuous 18kt gold partially finished in rhodium to give it a two-tone appearance.
