Multi-talented in the field of graphic design Edouard Benedictus (French 1878-1930) produced portfolios of beautiful textile and wallpaper designs throughout the Art Deco period. His 1924 Variations contains twenty plates of his textile design executed in brilliant colors by Jean Saude using the pochoir technique which involved the hand-coloring of the individual black outline prints. This ballpoint pen is developed from a detail of plate II in Variations a copy of which is in the collection of The Metropolitan Museum of Art. Rogers Fund 1926 The highlight of the pen is the smooth twist-action ballpoint system activated by turning the tip cone. The Metropolitan Museum of Art logo appears on the cap top. Handsomely packaged in a color coordinated paperboard gift box. Uses the smooth writing Waterford Ballpoint refills. One refill is included with the pen. Limited 1 Year Warranty.
