I purchased the Lamy Safari fountain pen with the Extra Fine nib. I also purchased, at that time. I was very disappointed with the ink flow from both nibs with this pen. The feel was scratchy and the ink didn't flow well, leaving big gaps in writing. Only when I slowed down A LOT and pressed HARD, would I get a consistent ink flow. (My ink is deAtramentis Document Ink.) It was exhausting trying to use this pen! I ordered a Medium Nib and the ink flows much better now, but still an occasional skip. I would NOT RECOMMEND the Lamy Safari pen with any nib smaller than the medium nib. The medium nib gives a line similar to the Uni-ball Vision Needle Micro rollerball pen.
