Exceptionally classy pen, and very well made. The nib is extremely smooth. The pen is just gorgeous to look at. I've only just got it and first day I'm using it, got multiple compl... view moreiments on how good it looks. That is is such an outstanding writer to boot only adds to the benefits. I bought the Fine nib and ink flow is smooth and just a bit on the wet side, though I have had no feathering or bleeding issues. There is no breather hole on the nib, but I had no skips or false starts. The resin barrel is light and well balanced. The chrome cap is heavy and though it posts, it makes the pen very tail heavy. The pen is plenty long enough to write with unposted. You have to grip the barrel, as the small section between the nib and barrel is too short to grip for writing. That said, because the pen is a very small diameter, this is no issue and the resin isn't slick. I found it reasonably comfortable to write with. For me, this is a business pen and it travels in a briefcase, so I've only used it with cartridges. It hold two standard cartridges, one in use and a spare in the barrel. The cap is shiny, but fingerprints clean off with a quick brush across a sleeve. The cap also seals up nice and tight with a plastic inner liner that fits snugly around the rubber o-ring just above the nib. This pen shouldn't have issues with drying out in use. I have bought a few Faber-Castell products lately, and they're the best writing stainless steel nibs I own. Very impressed by the quality and this has replaced my Lamy Studio as my favorite $100 fountain pen. Very highly recommended. view less
